Where to watch the WNBA 3-point contest: TV channel, live stream, time, odds
The WNBA’s 2026 All-Star Weekend in Chicago will continue Friday night with the 3-point contest and the newly introduced Shooting Stars contest. This year’s Star Weekend will also be a 30th anniversary celebration for the club.
There was some drama surrounding the 3-point contest with big names and fan favorites like Sabrina Ionescu, Caitlin Clark and Kayla McBride not among the six-shooter field. Ionescu said he was never officially invited and McBride says he received a “donkey invitation.”
Still, there’s still a team of contenders ready to compete, including this year’s No. 1 pick Azzi Fudd, this season’s 3-point shooter leader Marina “Money” Mabrey, and one StudBudz Natisha Hiedeman.
On Friday it will be revealed again Shooting Stars competition. While this event has been part of NBA All-Star Weekend in the past, it will be the first time we’ve seen it in the WNBA as a replacement for the regular Skills Challenge. There will be four teams made up of three generations of women’s basketball including retired WNBA legends, current WNBA players and top high school players from the Nike EYBL.

Lindsay Gibbs: Marina Mabrey. It’s been a breakout season for Mabrey, 29, who was selected in the expansion draft by the Toronto Tempo and has been absolutely successful up north. It’s his first time being an All-Star, and if there’s one thing we know about Mabrey it’s that he absolutely loves the spotlight. Being an old first-time All-Star, he won’t take it lightly either. I realize this isn’t statistical analysis, but let’s face it: The All-Star Game is a competition based on vibes, and Mabrey’s vibes are pretty high. Speaking of Sky, he’s had a tumultuous couple of seasons here in Chicago and will be highly motivated to get in front of this crowd. Will win a 3-point contest.
Isabel Gonzalez: Azzi Fudd. If he can find his rhythm early, I think Fudd can compete with anyone. I know the rookie — or former UConn player — has never won a 3-point contest before and nerves can play into something, but there’s a first time for everything. Fudd has good shooting form, and his quick wrist release alone could give him the edge.
Jack Maloney: Marina Mabrey. Mabrey is one of two players in the field with previous 3-Point Contest experience, which I think is important because it gives you a sense of the rhythm of the event and the pressure of being the only shooter on the floor. He’s also one of the league’s best pure shooters and earned his first All-Star nod during a career season. I think he’s going to play a show in Chicago.

Minnesota, Seattle, Washington and Dallas/Detroit will be represented in the the first Shooting Stars competition. Each team will also have a high school player in the Nike EYBL: Jezelle “GG” Banks, Ryan Carter, Tatianna Griffin and Morgan Reckley (the teams for the EYBL players had not been assigned as of Friday morning).
