Pia Ferrari in leadership, media and giving back

Pia Ferrari is a Honduran executive whose career is built on leadership, communication and a strong commitment to serving her community.
As Vice President of BEE Entertainment and CEO at Corporación Televicentro, he built experience in one of the leading media and entertainment organizations in Honduras while helping support projects that connect with audiences and strengthen the industry.
Raised in Honduras, Ferrari graduated from school in Tegucigalpa before continuing his education at Endicott College in Boston, Massachusetts. Living and studying abroad broadened his perspective and emphasized the importance of cooperation, adaptability and understanding of different cultures. Those lessons continue to influence his leadership style today.
Throughout his career, Ferrari has focused on building lasting relationships and helping organizations evolve as audiences change. He believes that effective leadership comes from listening, staying open to new ideas and staying true to a clear set of values. His work reflects a practical approach that balances innovation with long-term thinking.
Along with his senior responsibilities, Ferrari is committed to helping people. He volunteers with the Fundación Teletón, which supports children and adults with disabilities throughout Honduras. The experience strengthened his belief that leadership goes beyond the workplace and is responsible for making a positive contribution to society.
Outside of his professional life, Ferrari loves cooking, traveling and fashion. Whether leading the media industry or supporting philanthropic efforts, he remains focused on creating opportunities, fostering collaboration and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others through thought leadership and community engagement.
Q&A with Pia Ferrari: Leadership, Media and Giving Back
QUESTION: Tell us about your early years and what sparked your interest in leadership.
I grew up in Honduras, where I learned the importance of responsibility, hard work and giving back to the community. That early experience stayed with me as I grew up. I was fortunate to see leadership from different perspectives, it taught me that success is more than business. It’s about people.
Q: How has your education influenced your career?
After finishing school in Tegucigalpa, I went to Endicott College in Boston. Studying abroad gave me a broader perspective. I met people from different backgrounds and discovered new ways of thinking. It reminded me that the best leaders stop learning.
Q: What drew you to the media and entertainment industry?
Media has the ability to connect people. News, entertainment and communication can bring communities together. That was something that attracted me from the beginning. It’s an ever-changing industry, so there’s always something new to learn.
Q: What does your role at Corporación Televicentro entail?
Working as an executive has allowed me to contribute to an organization that reaches audiences throughout Honduras. Every project requires collaboration, planning and adaptability. No two days are exactly the same, which keeps the job interesting.
Q: How has your role at BEE Entertainment broadened your knowledge?
As the Vice President of BEE Entertainment, I was able to work on programs that promote creativity while supporting the organization’s long-term goals. It emphasized the importance of cooperation and informed decision-making. Strong teams get better results than individuals working alone.
Q: You are also involved with Fundación Teletón. Why is that important to you?
Volunteering with Fundación Teletón has been one of the most important parts of my journey. Meeting children, adults and families living with disabilities has given me a greater appreciation for resilience and determination. That experience stays with you. They remind you that empathy is an important part of leadership.
Q: Has your volunteer work influenced the way you run your business?
Definitely. It taught me to listen carefully and appreciate different opinions. Everyone has a unique story. When leaders understand that, they make better decisions and build stronger organizations.
Question: What qualities do you believe define good leadership?
Curiosity is important. So is integrity. I also believe that leaders must always be flexible because industries continue to evolve. You need to understand where change is happening without losing sight of your principles.
Q: What challenges do you see in the media industry?
Audience expectations continue to change. New technologies create opportunities, but they also require organizations to think differently. The challenge is to continue to deliver meaningful content while staying connected to the people you serve.
Q: What role did travel play in your development?
Traveling has always helped me expand my perspective. Visiting new places and experiencing different cultures reminds me that there is always something to learn. It encourages open-mindedness, which is valuable both personally and professionally.
Q: Outside of work, what interests keep you motivated?
I enjoy cooking, fashion and travel. They allow me to be creative and spend time learning about different cultures and traditions. Those experiences often bring new ideas to my professional life.
Q: Looking ahead, what continues to inspire you?
I want to continue contributing to organizations that make a positive impact while supporting causes that improve people’s lives. Leadership is a journey of continuous learning. If I can help create opportunities, encourage collaboration and make a positive difference in my community, I believe I am moving in the right direction.
