Tyson Fury says he is willing to “fight someone else” at the end of 2026 if his long-awaited fight with Anthony Joshua does not go ahead.
Fury fights today Friday in Thailand against Poland’s Mariusz Wach, although the fight will not be broadcast, before Joshua fights Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.
Should Fury and Joshua be successful in their preparation fights, they have agreed that they will finally meet in November or December later this year – although the date and location are yet to be announced.
However, speaking to Dev Sahni Sky Sports NewsFury casts doubt on the fight with Joshua with insulting remarks about his teammate.
“Let’s not do this about Mr Bodybuilder stupid. I don’t care about him or his colleagues or anyone else. I don’t give a **** about him. I don’t care if I see him again in my life. If I see him, I do it. If I don’t, I don’t have it,” he said.
“I don’t care about him, anyone has to do it for him – his manager, his wife, his sister, his cousin. No interest.
“We have five months left in the year, so I want to find this boy [Wach] with the box, I did well, and I did what I could.
“I know I can beat this guy. I beat this guy one-handed, and that’s not saying anything bad about Mariusz, but I’m in good shape. I can beat all these heavyweights one-handed. But I’m in good shape. I’m in good shape, I’m injury-free and I’m ready to rock and roll.
“There’s five months to fight one more before the end of the year. And if it’s your man Anthony Joshua, great. And if not, I’ll be fighting someone else.”

Fury has no plans to watch Joshua’s fight
Fury’s fight with Wach on Friday will take place at 4pm UK time in front of 1,500 spectators in Pattaya, with Joshua fighting on Saturday night in Jeddah.
Joshua attended Fury’s victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov in April earlier this year in London but Fury will not be heading to Saudi Arabia.
“I’m going home. I’m as interested in Anthony Joshua against ‘the other Pringles’ as I am interested in throwing that down. Nothing. I’m going home. I don’t care about AJ and his boxing partner,” he said.
Asked if facing Joshua in Saudi Arabia on Saturday would send a message to everyone that the fight is happening, Fury added: “You can send as many signals as you want.
“You’ve been told for 10 years that it’s happening. It didn’t happen, did it? Hold your breath. I’ve always had my doubts. But if it happens, great. If it doesn’t, great too.”

Aggressiveness: Wach is a strong man
Wach last became world heavyweight champion in 2012 but has continued to fight every year, although he has lost eight of his last 12 fights.
The 46-year-old wants to “ruin” Fury’s plans against Joshua and Fury is not ignoring his opponent.
“It’s going to be crazy but I’m looking forward to the challenge. It’s going to be good,” said the ‘Gypsy King’.
“He’s a tough guy. He’s a veteran, and he’s been in the game for 20 years. So he’s a dangerous guy, a big heavyweight and anything can happen. I have to be careful of him obviously and be on my A game and do what I do.
“I’ve been out here training for 10 weeks, so I’m not leaving anything behind. I’m ready to go. I’m in good shape and fit as a fiddle.”
