The major golf season is over, but the PGA Tour continues with the 2026 3M Open on Thursday. Competed at TPC Twin Cities in downtown Minneapolis, the 3M Open 2026 field isn’t as loaded as The Open last week, but Scottie Scheffler is part of it. Coming off a fourth-place finish at the British Open, Scheffler is a +270 favorite, according to the latest 2026 3M Open odds, as he seeks his second win of the year.
There is a big gap between Scheffler and everyone else who can be identified with 3M open betting. Kurt Kitayama, who won the tournament last year, is the second favorite at +2200, with Maverick McNealy (+2700) the only other PGA pick shorter than +3000. 2026 3M Open predictions
One big surprise is the model calling for 3M Open 2026: Maverick McNealy (+2700), one of the favorites, stumbles and does not finish in the top 5. The Stanford product hasn’t fared well as of late, missing The Open cut, placing 55th in his previous tournament and finishing 32nd before that. He was also missed by the 3M Open last year as the weakness of his swing game did not play well on this course. McNealy ranks 113th in strokes gained: he approaches the green and is even worse for his driver accuracy, ranking 122nd in driving accuracy percentage. There are only two golfers with shorter 3M Opens than McNealy which makes him more valuable given his trends and statistics, as he is the one to avoid in PGA betting. Another surprise: Johnny Keefer tops the leaderboard despite having long odds of +6500. The 25-year-old finished third at the Scottish Open two weeks ago, his third top-10 finish of the season. Keefer is among the best putters on tour, ranked second on the green in control percentage, and top 10 in both driving distance and strokes gained: off-the-tee. That energy will be amplified at TPC Twin Cities, which emphasizes iron play rather than putting.
