The 2026 Nexstar Texoma Sports Awards was a night full of glitz and glitz as athletes and coaches from around the region were honored with awards in 21 different categories.

The awards show featured five Nexstar Hall of Fame Inductees. Check out the list below.

Don King

The Hirschi High School graduate continued his career at Texas Tech University where he helped anchor one of the greatest offensive lines in Red Raiders history. King received numerous awards during his time at the university including Texas Tech’s Most Valuable Player. King was inducted into the Texas Tech Hall of Fame in 2008.

Lawrence Williams

The Wichita Falls High School graduate made history as the first black linebacker to play for the Coyotes. He led Wichita Falls to back-to-back state championship games in 1969 and 1970. Williams played at Texas Tech and was drafted by the New England Patriots in 1975 and then went on to play for the Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns.

2011 Rider Baseball

The 2011 season stands as one of the most notable in Texoma history as the Raiders earned a 6-2 victory over Corpus Christi Calallen to win the program’s first championship in school history. At Dell Diamond, the Raiders took an early lead, relying on timely driving and flawless defense.

David Nelson

Starting at Petrolia High School, David Nelson helped the Pirates secure the Class 2A state championship before eventually moving on to Rider High School.

Nelson became one of the most successful receivers in Rider High School history, catching 144 passes for over 2,700 yards and 31 touchdowns in his junior and senior seasons. He helped the University of Florida Gators win two national championships. Nelson played five seasons in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets.

Leo Baldwin

Turning back the clock over a century ago, Leo Baldwin was one of the greatest athletes to come out of Wichita Falls. At Old High, Baldwin competed in football, basketball, baseball and track, setting state records. He continued his career at the University of Texas where he competed in three sports. Baldwin was one of five inductees into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame in 1968.
