Scott Eastwood reflects on what it was like to grow up with a very famous parent.

In a recent interview with “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the 40-year-old actor shared how his father, Clint Eastwood, protected him and his siblings from fame, and how his experiences visiting his father on set changed the way he views the industry today.

“I’ve seen surprising behavior in this business. That wouldn’t happen in other industries,” Rogan said, adding that since they’re the star of the show, some actors feel like they can handle others the way they want.

Scott then added that his father never acted that way, and that his philosophy was always to “put your boots on. [and]go to work man.”

“I think I was lucky in a way because I saw it growing and I saw like bulls—,” he said of some behavior on modern film sets.

Although Eastwood says he witnessed bad behavior when he was younger and visited his famous father on set, the “Wrath of Man” star said his father “did a great job of protecting” him and his siblings from the pitfalls that come with child fame.

He brought it up after he and Rogan started talking about child stars who got famous really young, saying, “you get disappointment growing up” when you get famous at a very young age.

“I mean, thank you to my dad, because he did a great job protecting us from that and it’s private,” he said. “We didn’t live in LA, we lived in Carmel. It was as … normal as could be, in the sense that he was like, ‘No, you just need to be a normal kid and learn how the world works.’

Although his father did not want his children to pursue acting careers as children, Scott went on to become a successful actor as an adult, appearing in films such as “Regretting You,” “Fury,” “Suicide Squad” and others.

When discussing his acting process, Scott shared that he and his father both don’t cheat on acting, saying that he treats it “like a job” and that he’s “not one of those crazy minds” who stays in shape during the filming of a project.

“My father was never like that,” he said. “He was like, it’s work. Like go to work, do your best, put in the reps, make sure you know your s— and come prepared, and have something interesting, but leave it at the door.”

In his new film, “Lucky Strike,” Scott portrays a soldier who finds himself trapped behind enemy lines following the Battle of the Bulge fought between the United States and Germany during World War II.

“You know, the end of the war is, you know, everybody knows there’s a common enemy in the world,” he told NPR in June about WWII. “There was, you know, evil that was done, and it was a fight for justice. You know, some wars, I think there’s a lot of ambiguity. There’s a lot of, ‘we should have been there,'” [and] ‘why are we doing this?’ But that battle, I think, affects many because it is clear, right and wrong. “
