Clark, who was champion in 2017, enjoyed a 2023 break, which included representing the United States in the Ryder Cup.
Now, playing at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, Clark has a chance to add to his 32-year-old resume as he competes for the top of the leaderboard at the 2026 US Open.

Did Wyndham Clark win the big prize?
Of course, Clark has already won one major in his past, and it was at the same tournament in which he found success in 2026: the US Open.

In June 2023, Clark made a big appearance at the Los Angeles Country Club. He had never finished better than 75 in a major tournament to that point, including two missed cuts in a row at the US Open. But when he finished with a final-round 70 to finish at 10-under-par for the tournament, Clark held off Rory McIlroy for his first major win.
In total, Clark has four PGA Tour wins, as follows:

Wyndham Clark US Open history
Clark almost went from worst to first at the US Open. He made his debut in 2021, which resulted in a miss – and the same result came in 2022.

But in 2023, he was at the top of the leaderboard, won a major and joined a special company in the golf world. In 2024, Clark dropped to T56, and again missed the cut in 2025.
Although Clark has yet to repeat his 2023 success, 2026 looks promising for a strong finish, whether he wins again or not.

The Wyndham Clark ends very well
Aside from his victory at the 2023 US Open, Clark has achieved great success in just one major: the 2025 Open Championship.
In the 2025 Grand Final, Clark finished tied for fourth with 11 points, six strokes behind the winner, Scottie Scheffler.
Otherwise, Clark hasn’t made much noise in the majors. Here’s a look at his best finishes:
