Judy Murray discusses William’s return to tennis

Judy Murray said Williams played at a “very high level” at Queen’s and was impressed with her performance.

“I’m not sure that anyone expected him to come back when he retired, I think he came back in 2022,” he said. Sky Sports.

“He’s got two kids of his own now, but he’s been playing a big role; he’s obviously got himself in really good shape, fit, ready to compete again.

“I think he might have missed you a lot too.

“I saw a clip where he said it was important for his children to see him play, so they know who he is and what he does.

“I really liked that her husband and children were in court and greeted her when she left.

“But she showed that she is still playing at a surprisingly high level, playing doubles with Victoria Mboko at the WTA event in Queen’s, and she won her first match!

“And the support of the big crowd there, and a lot of fans behind her, it’s great, another mom is back in the game with success, brilliant.”
