‘Yellowstone’ fans are loving Taylor Sheridan’s new spinoff so much, ratings are soaring
“Yellowstone” fans are very excited about “Dutton Ranch.”
The new “Yellowstone” spinoff from Taylor Sheridan premiered May 15 on Paramount+ after receiving a deafening amount of hype.
“Dutton Ranch” follows Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) from Montana with a fresh start in Texas. The first two episodes were electrifying, and set the stage for an epic season.
Ed Harris and Annette Bening are also major cast members of the series. The first one might be the best part of the episodes released so far.

“Yellowstone” fans are going crazy for “Dutton Ranch.”
Now, as we have discussed many times, “Marshals” unfortunately turned out to be a big disappointment and a dud. There are many reasons why, and arguably the biggest is that it airs on network TV on CBS.
“Dutton Ranch” doesn’t have that problem. The early reaction from fans has been electric. The game has an 84% rating on Rotten Tomatoes as published on the Tomatometer score and a 78% rating on the Popcornmeter.

The reaction on Reddit from viewers is also much better than “Marshals,” which just cracked.

- I’m in! They captured what the Marshals could not.
- It was very good. I need all the episodes now!
- Call me anything but I got emotional in the first few minutes. That joy, that quiet way to end the suffering and drama in the Dutton family. Geez, it’s worth the wait. Whatever Marshall was, Dutton Ranch is just what Yellowstone fans need.
- Wow. I was crying in the first 10 minutes 😭
- I just finished watching it. It’s delicious. He did not disappoint. Best line…Beth in bar…a guy asks her what a pit….answer…NOT TODAY 😅😂😂😂😂😅
- I wasn’t a fan of Beth at all in Yellowstone but I really like her in this series so far. It probably has a lot to do with Jamie being on the ground but so far he seems very calm in this game lol. I fully expected Ed Harris’s character to be a ranch rival. The character he ended up playing in his place was amazing.
- I just watched ep1, and Ilike pass the Marshals…
- I love it!! Watched the first two episodes this morning. Rip and Beth never miss a step.
- I feel like they put in the Marshals on purpose to make the DR look good. Well, it worked for me. I loved seeing the old faces and cowboy action

It’s amazing how Sheridan and company managed to keep the vibe of “Yellowstone” and “Dutton Ranch.” The series certainly feels like another season of the original saga after the spinoff.
