World Series 2024 odds: Dodgers remain favorite, Astros move up

The MLB regular season is over, October baseball is here and there is a new favorite to win the Fall Classic.

The New York Yankees sit atop the oddsboard as one of the favorites to win the World Series at +265. Their short odds went from +370 two days ago.

The Dodgers are now second on the board at +425, up from +350.

For punters considering backing the Dodgers — former favorites — FOX Sports writer Rowan Kavner suggests LA may have a tough road ahead.

“Considering the state of their rotation, it’s clear that the Dodgers will need to outscore their opponents in order to get past them in October,” Kavner noted. “It’s a risky way to live, but it should be a blueprint for success.”

Let’s take a look at each team’s updated 2024 World Series odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Oct. 7.

ODDS TO WIN 2024 WORLD SERIES:

New York Yankees: +265 (bet $10 to win a total of $36.50)
Los Angeles Dodgers: +425 (bet $10 to win a total of $52.50)
Philadelphia Phillies: +475 (bet $10 to win a total of $57.50)
San Diego Padres: +500 (bet $10 to win $60 total)
Cleveland Rangers: +650 (bet $10 to win $75 total)
The New York Mets: +850 (bet $10 to win $95 total)
Kansas City Royals: +1700 (bet $10 to win $180 total)
The Detroit Tigers: +1700 (bet $10 to win $180 total)

Rounding out the top three are the Phillies at +475. Philadelphia’s odds are up slightly from +450 last week.

At the bottom of the list are the Tigers and Royals, both tied for the longest odds at +1700.
