Genesis Scottish Open payouts: Tom Kim escapes Renaissance Club with first win since 2023

Tim Kim is a winner and at the right time.
Kim stormed out of the field at The Renaissance Club to win the Genesis Scottish Open on Sunday night. It marked his first victory since 2023, and came just days before the final tournament of the year at Royal Birkdale.

Kim posted a 6-under 64 in his final round on Sunday, dropping him to 17-under for the week. He had just one bogey in his final 51 holes of the tournament, too. That sent him to England with a check for $1.575 million, which was part of the $9 million in the combined PGA Tour-DP World Tour event.
There were 15 players within just three shots of the lead when the third round was suspended on Saturday due to weather, although Matt Fitzpatrick and Michael Thorbjornsen held onto the lead. But soon, Kim left.
He bogeyed three of the first seven holes in the final round, including the par-5 first, to jump ahead. Then a birdie at 12, the fifth, pushed his lead to three. In no time, the logjam tournament at the top was in full control.
While Min Woo Lee briefly cut the gap back to one, Kim birdied the 16th with ease to take a two-shot lead at the final hole. That was more than enough to secure his victory.

The win was the fourth of Kim’s career, and the first since 2023. It was easily the biggest win of his career, too, and it comes at the right time with the British Open up next week. Kim entered the week at No. 66 in the Official World Golf Rankings, and finished third at the US Open last month – his only first major tournament of the season. Kim finished tied for second at the British Open in 2023, but missed the cut there in his last two starts. Kim had already qualified for the British Open this year with his world ranking.
Scottie Scheffler, the world’s top-ranked golfer, missed the cut on Friday after a tough second round. It was the first time since 2022 that he failed to qualify in a tour event. His 78 consecutive cuts were fifth on the Tour’s all-time list, and the longest streak on Tour.
Here’s a look at how much Kim and the rest of the field earned this week in Scotland.
