2026 MLB All-Star Game: Full rosters as Phillies, Dodgers, Braves, Rays lead picks

Complete rosters are set for the 2026 MLB All-Star Game. This year’s Midsummer Classic will be played on Tuesday, July 14, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. The All-Star Game, as is tradition, will cap a small celebration that includes the 2026 MLB Draft (July 11-12), the Future Game (July 12), and the Home Run Derby (July 13).

The starters for the All-Star Game are determined by a fan vote. Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani (now out due to irritation of the knees) and Blue Jays outfielder Ernie Clement received the most votes in their respective leagues, allowing them to skip the second round of voting entirely. The rest of the list was determined by player voting and selection by the commissioner’s office.

At the team level, the Phillies — thanks to the late addition of Jesús Luzardo — led all winners with six All-Stars, just ahead of the Dodgers and Braves with five each. In the AL, the Rays are at the top of the circuit with five picks after the addition of Nick Martinez on Friday. The Yankees and Blue Jays have four each. As is often the case these days, each of MLB’s 30 teams has at least one All-Star representative.

On July 8, MLB announced that commissioner Rob Manfred had added future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander to the AL All-Star roster as a Legends Selection. Verlander has not appeared in a game since March 30 due to hip and groin injuries, and will not play in the All-Star Game. He will also be honored during the festivities, however.

Then Verlander announced it 2026 will be his last season.

The National League will be managed by Dodgers captain Dave Roberts, which is a nice bonus after he led his team to the top of the World Series last year. Meanwhile, the American League will be assisted by Blue Jays manager John Schneider. Each manager will select their team’s starting pitcher in the coming days.
