The Bombay High Court on Thursday denied bail to Ghanshyam Kushawaha, an agent accused of creating fake visas in the UAE for three people to bypass the Protector of Emigrants (POE) permit, thereby defrauding the government.

Kusawaha, who hails from Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria, is concerned after three men were caught at the Mumbai airport trying to fly to the UAE using fake tourist visas. The investigation revealed that the documents were altered to avoid mandatory POE approval. Investigators determined that Kushawaha had provided forged documents.
Additional Public Prosecutor Arfan Sait opposed the bail application, saying Kushawaha’s actions not only violated immigration laws but also involved tampering with government-issued documents. Sait revealed that Kushawaha has been on the run since the case has been registered and is not cooperating with the investigation.
