The app does not directly replace the existing GeForce Experience app as it allows you to install other NVIDIA apps such as GeForce NOW (cloud gaming) and NVIDIA Broadcast (enhanced streaming experience), which GeForce Experience cannot do. However, the latest updates to NVIDIA’s app are trying a little to combine the two experiences into one, as the company .
For many gamers with NVIDIA GPUs, GeForce Experience is the most common way to adjust graphics settings, update drivers, and other quick settings. Newbies can do all that and more, like turning on ray-powered AI tracking filters in supported games. It also has a new in-game overlay, among other features.
Another addition in today’s update is RTX HDR multi-monitor support. Those who own multiple HDR-certified monitors can now enable HDR on them simultaneously. You can also now set up G-Sync through the NVIDIA app, something you could previously do through the NVIDIA Control Panel, which can be confusing to navigate to some people.
Most importantly, NVIDIA is now working hard to integrate more Control Panel features into the NVIDIA app. When the app exits beta later this year, the company plans to migrate all GeForce Experience users to the new app. In the meantime, users are strongly encouraged to provide feedback.
