Andhra Pradesh: Five, including 3 children, killed when van separates in Adilabad


At least five people, including three children, died after the van they were traveling in hit a divider in Adilabad in Telangana on Monday. Four others were injured in the accident.

The incident took place near Mekalagandi Corner in Gudihatnur Mandal in Adilabad, around midnight. The car, which was carrying eight people, was traveling from Bhainsa in Nirmal district towards Adilabad when it hit a divider.

The victims include Moiz, 60, Ali, 8, Khaja Moinuddin, 40, Mohammad Usmanuddin, 11, and Farid, 12. Farid died after being admitted to the hospital, while the others died on the spot.

The injured were taken to Adilabad RIMS Hospital. All the victims and injured are relatives of one family living in Teachers Colony in Adilabad city.

The police have registered a case and the investigation is on.
