2026 College World Series schedule: Scores, bracket, TV times

The 2026 college baseball season has come down to just two teams. No. 5 North Carolina and Oklahoma will square off in the final round of the College World Series in search of a national championship. Neither team lost a game in Omaha, Neb. is on its way to the championship series, but it has something to give when it meets Saturday at Charles Schwab Field.
North Carolina advanced to the CWS Finals with a 12-7 victory over No. 16 in West Virginia on Wednesday. Oklahoma punched its ticket 11-4 later with the No. 3 Georgia.
Both offenses carried the momentum into the weekend after hitting double figures in their recent outings. For the Tar Heels, it was Owen Hull who started the attack for the Mountaineers. His 4-for-5 day at the plate included four more hits and saw him just one home run shy of the cycle. For the Sooners, Dasan Harris and Jason Walk delivered two solo home runs in the win over the Bulldogs.
Oklahoma’s bats in particular have stepped up in the postseason. Of the Sooners’ 91 home runs on the year, 43 have come in the last 16 games. They’ve also had six returning starters since the start of the CWS.
The benefit of the lift goes to North Carolina with ace Jason DeCaro and star shortstop Caden Glauber talking about what has been one of baseball’s most effective bats all year. But Oklahoma is hot on the mound after adding freshmen Xander Mercurious and Nick Wesloski to the rotation. Both were dominant in their first start in Omaha, as both defeated Georgia while combining for 13 innings, 13 strikeouts and four earned runs against the nation’s hard-hitting lineup.

It is the first time North Carolina has come close to a title since back-to-back championship appearances in 2007 and 2008. The Tar Heels came up short both times, and this is its 13th trip to Omaha, Neb., the program’s second-most CWS appearances without a title.
On the other hand, Oklahoma holds two trophies. It has been 32 years since the Sooners last stood at the top of the game, however, and they capped off their last appearance in the championship series in 2022.
