Later in 1995, after the interview was taped in January, Tupac Shakur was visited by Diddy, and the rapper assured Pac that he was not involved in the recording. There is no hard evidence linking him, or Bad Boy Records, to the shooting, despite Shakur’s belief that it was a set-up. He wasn’t the only one who would think that Diddy was involved, as because of his take on the Vibe interview, future rappers would continue to accuse Diddy of hitting hits on Tupac.
Most notably, this includes Eminem, who, as usual, doesn’t play coy and comes out to say it on the song “Fuel – Shady Version:” “Notorious BIG’s death was a major consequence of Tupac’s murder/ Like facial tissue, card should I clean next?” Puff’s? ‘Until he is handcuffed by the police, he is guilty, will he stand up? / Like gee, he’s never surrendered, who knows there will be massacres.
