Victor Wembanyama’s aggressiveness on the court was again questioned as the San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks played Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden.
In the first half, Knicks All-Star guard Jalen Brunson was trying to guard Wembanyama near a free throw when the 7-foot-4 center put his hand behind Brunson’s head and shoved him onto the court.
However, Wembanyama was never called for a foul and the game continued with the Knicks in possession of the ball.

Brunson immediately got in Wembanyama’s face, and it was clear that the Frenchman was smiling before the guard went back to work.
This incident is similar to what happened when the Knicks won Game 2 on the road, when Brunson, Jose Alvarado, went to punch Wembanyama. Alvarado, who has the same height as Brunson, was wrapped up by Wembanyama and threw him out of the game.

Again, no phone calls were made.
Spurs are known for their physicality, but many believe that Wemby should have been called for a poor performance in these cases.

San Antonio started the game in the red, leading by 11 points after the first quarter, 33-22. But these Knicks have consistently shown their ability to come back no matter the deficit.
After the second quarter, the Knicks left the locker room with a seven-point lead at halftime.
Brunson was a big reason why, going 5-of-11 from the field for 15 points with three assists and one rebound.

As for Wembanyama, he went 6-of-10 from the field and scored 15 points, while grabbing four rebounds and dishing out three assists.
The Spurs are trying to avoid a 3-0 deficit in the best-of-seven series, and the Knicks are hoping they can keep the momentum going in the second half for a chance to sweep their home stretch Wednesday night in Game 4.
