India’s embassy in Beirut on Wednesday urged its citizens to leave Lebanon and warned them against traveling to the Arab country amid heightened violence in the region. It also advised Indians to be “extremely cautious” while living in the country, which is on the brink of a major war with Israel.
“As a reiteration of the advisory issued on 1 August 2024 and the recent and high-level developments in the region, Indian nationals are strongly advised not to travel to Lebanon until further notice,” the embassy said in a statement posted on social media. X.
