In its bid to end fighting in the Middle East region, the United States is leading a new negotiation effort that could end the Israel-Gaza and Israel-Hezbollah wars.
This effort combines two separate conflicts in the Middle East region and the same details are being discussed on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, according to a report by Reuters.
The White House announced that US President Joe Biden and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron are discussing a cease-fire agreement to completely stop conflicts in the Middle East. Three Israeli officials say there has been no progress in the talks with Western countries.

Meanwhile, the head of the Israeli army, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, said that the Israeli army may be gaining momentum and may contribute to Lebanon in its campaign against Hezbollah.
The deal confirmed by the US will include the release of hostages held by the Palestinian-based militant group Hamas in the war against Israel that began on October 7 last year. Violence has gripped the region since then when Hamas attacked communities in southern Israel killing 1,200 people while abducting 250 people.

This attack led to Israeli retaliation which has killed nearly 41,000 people in Palestine, and opened a conflict between the two countries.
According to a Reuters report, people familiar with the matter said “Discussions have been ongoing on the sidelines of the National Council with the aim of providing an opportunity for a political settlement on the Lebanon-Israel border and renewing the Gaza hostage agreement.”
The Biden administration is leaving no stone unturned to strike a deal between the warring factions as it could serve as a good farewell for Joe Biden.
