A dialysis unit for children has been opened

Kidney failure in children occurs mostly due to congenital disorders. This disease is not seen in many children and many only develop when their kidneys are permanently damaged. Such children require life-saving dialysis and continue until they receive a kidney transplant.

“This is the first OPD dialysis unit designed only for children in this city. It includes a combination of a dialysis unit, nutritional care during dialysis and parent education, this concept is new in the management of pediatric dialysis in Bengaluru,” said a statement from the hospital.
