World Darts Championship: Luke Littler presents tickets to Prince of Wales at Alexandra Palace after receiving MBE | Arrow News

Luke Littler has promised to provide tickets for the Prince of Wales to make his Alexandra Palace debut later this year after discussing the arrows at Windsor Castle.
Littler collected an MBE for his contribution to sport last Tuesday when he was told by Prince William that the World Archery Championships at a fun venue in north London “looks like a good night out”.
The 19-year-old – who is looking to reclaim the Premier League Darts title on Finals Night on Thursday, live on Sky Sports from 7pm – and admitted that visiting the royal residence was a surreal experience.
“Prince William said he was following the trip and we were just talking about how the missiles went off,” Littler said.
“He even said it looks like a good night, maybe we’ll see Prince William at Ally Pally this year!
“I did not invite him, but if he needs a few tickets I am sure that I or the PDC will sort them out.
“When I turned up at Windsor Castle, it was like….’how am I here? Why am I here?’. It was crazy. Then you have to think about what I’ve done for this game.
“Obviously they don’t often come to such young people, but what I did for my game, it was amazing and the notice was a good thing.”
Little ‘letting the arrows do the talking’ in the Premier League last night
Littler returns to action on Thursday’s Premier League Finals Night and plans to “let his arrows do the talking” if he faces any opposition from the O2 crowd.
The World No 1 was challenged at Alexandra Palace in December and has also been teased in Liverpool, Brighton and Sheffield, and at European competitions.
His closest rival Luke Humphries believes the animosity is because “everyone wants to bring down the person who is doing well” – and Littler is ready for his response if it happens again.
“The only way to deal with it is to put your head down and win – that’s what I did,” he said.
“I continued to win, I continued to win, and I will have to hit the ground running on Thursday. If it comes occasionally on the stage, then the arrows should talk.”
Littler and Humphries have met in the last two Premier League finals with the Warrington star losing out on the ‘Cool Hand’ title last year.
The rivals are set to clash again in the final and Littler will be content to see off his semi-final opponent Gerwyn Price and reach the showpiece tournament for the third year in a row.
“If I can reach the final three times in a row, I would be happy, but I will just try to beat Gezzy first,” he said.
“Some people want to see me fight Luka in the final, some people would say it’s boring now – Luka and Luka.
“But if we both win, if we both reach the final, one and two, nobody can do anything about it.
“We’ve shared a lot of trophies over the last year or two, but let’s see what happens on Thursday.”
