After an eventful journey through the various brackets, it’s time to crown a state champion in Georgia high school baseball.
Eight teams will have the right to hoist the trophy over the extended Memorial Day weekend after a series of best-of-three contests at three minor league ballparks and one college arena in the state.
This year’s final features three schools trying to repeat after last year’s state wins in Troup (3A), Gordon Lee (1AD1) and Lanier County (1AD2), but most of the bracket features an entirely new set of finalists. They include some national powers like North Oconee (4A), which is No. 37 in the country according to MaxPreps, and the No. 39 Pope (5A) and 43 North Paulding (6A).
The 6A finals start last and may draw the most attention as North Paulding meets Etowah in an early series contest with the Wolfpack taking two of three. Etowah will try to reverse that this time around after a high school prospect for the 2026 MLB Draft, outfielder Trevor Condon (no relation to the Rockies and former UGA star Charlie).
