Natalie Maines recently caught fire with the current administration after she posted a profane rant targeting President Trump on Instagram where she accused him of destroying democracy.
The Chicks frontman is known for fighting, and previously traded heated words with the late Toby Keith, proving that feuds between the famous genre are nothing new.
Maines, 51, launched an attack on Trump with a nasty post shared on social media.

“Our democracy is disappearing before our eyes,” Maines said last week. “This fugly s— is using your gas money to pay off the rebels. But don’t worry about it. I’m sure posting your selfies will fix everything.”
He added, “My last post calling him a fugly s— has been deleted. We’ll see how long this lasts. Post again and help the message live.”
While Maines received support, she also received her fair share of comment backlash.

“Natalie Maines is not a despicable person with a serious case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted her peanut-sized brain,” a White House spokesperson told Fox News Digital.
While performing in London shortly before the start of the Iraq War in 2003, Maines told concertgoers that he was “ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas,” referring to then-President George W. Bush.

The backlash from within the industry was swift, and included his co-star Toby Keith, who had been involved in a war of words with Maines over his disdain for his song, “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American).”

“I hate it,” Maines told the Daily News about Keith’s patriotic song. “He made country music sound ignorant. He targeted an entire culture — not just bad people doing bad things.
“You have to be creative. Anyone can write, ‘We’re going to put the boot in your –.’ But most people agree with it.”
Keith dismissed Maines’ comments and told CMT that he’s “not a songwriter.” For a while, Keith was known to display a photo of Maines and Saddam Hussein at his concerts.

Kacey Musgraves, 37, reflected on her past as she moved to change the story about her troubled relationship with fellow country star, Miranda Lambert.

The “Deeper Well” singer said the song was pitched to Lambert without his “permission or knowledge,” and it quickly became a “tricky situation.”
“He ended up liking the song, and he really wanted it. And I had other writers I was considering,” he said.
The country music queens collaborated on “Horses and Divorces” from Musgraves’ sixth studio album, which was released on May 1.
Maren Morris aimed for the changing narrative of country music following Jason Aldean’s 2023 release “Try That in a Small Town” and Oliver Anthony “The Richest Men of North Richmond.”

Brittany quickly replied, “Karen (sic) Morris, thanks for calling me Barbie.” Soon after their social media connection, Morris created an online fundraiser by selling the t-shirt, and more than $150,000 was raised to benefit transgender programs.
