FRESH from its month-long vacation, PVL All-Filipino Conference champion Creamline will enter fully energized as it prepares for the season-opening Conference Invitational set for late next month.
“We just got back to the Creamline practice, everyone is recharged,” said Cool Smashers captain Alyssa Valdez during a luncheon hosted by insurance company sponsor Allianz at Ayala One in Makati on Wednesday.
Mrs. Valdez also said that the team will come more protected knowing that they have Allianz as one of their sponsors.
“Thanks to Allianz, I rate my health at 101%,” he said.
Allianz was not only a partner of Creamline but also Rebisco-owned teams Choco Mucho and Criss Cross of Spikers’ Turf.
“Our partnership with Rebisco affects our brand,” said Allianz Chief Executive Officer Joseph Gross, who was joined by Allianz Chief Marketing Officer Rozanne Magararu.
“But the deep reason why we support them is because we live in the same way, working as a team, being patient and strong, we will be there on good or bad days because we know that you don’t always win,” he added.
In Choco Mucho’s Kat Tolentino, she vowed that they will not stop achieving their goal of winning the PVL title.
“This journey continues to teach us patience and the importance of trusting the system because our time will come,” she said.
PVL Notes: Creamline also showed up with its new recruit, former Cignal spiker Erin Pangilinan. Choco Mucho’s coach, Dante Alinsunurin, has also dismissed rumors that Tia Andaya has left the team. “He will come back,” he said. Choco Mucho also brought his new recruits to the Allianz event but the club officials asked them to agree to announce it on social media first. – Joey Villar
