One of the passengers aboard the MV Hondius posted a video showing his isolation room at the National Quarantine Unit at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha as officials monitor the hantavirus outbreak on the cruise.

Jake Rosmarin, a passenger who is currently in solitary confinement, has been documenting his experience on social media, posting videos from the ship and the medical center. Fox News Digital has not independently verified the video.

Health officials said passengers were being closely monitored after being exposed to the Andes virus, a type of hantavirus, and stressed that the risk to the public remains low.

In a recent clip, Rosmarin showed off her room, which includes a wall-mounted hand sanitizer, a thermometer and other health supplies. The room also had a stationary bike.

“I can have things sent here during my stay, so I’ll be getting some things to make me feel at home and comfortable,” Rosmarin said.

He added that he plans to continue sharing updates in the coming days and said that he is currently feeling “fine.”

Rosmarin also said that he has not been tested for hantavirus.

Health officials said passengers could be allowed to leave the Nebraska facility before the 42-day quarantine period ends if they meet certain conditions, including remaining symptom-free and being able to safely self-isolate at home.

Officials will also assess whether people can contact local health departments and quickly access testing or health care if symptoms develop.

Of the 18 people who were transported to the US after the outbreak, 16 were from Nebraska and two were from Atlanta. Many were isolated, while one was placed in a biocontainment unit after a previous test result.

Officials stressed that the risk to the general public remains low, noting that the Andes strain of hantavirus does not spread easily and often requires long, close contact with a person with symptoms.
