Vote for Girls Athlete of the Week May 4-10

The winner of last week’s Girls Athlete of the Week poll was Fairhaven’s Briarose Aspden. He received more than 10,000 votes (65%) for the honor.

Aspden had 7 goals in the win over Silver Lake.

Previous winners have been Old Rochester’s Caroline Houdelette, Fairhaven’s Briarose Aspden, GNB Voc-Tech’s Zoey Chase and Bishop Stang’s A’mya Acevedo.

TRACK FOR GIRLS

Sienna Cabe, Wareham

Cabe took first in the high jump (4-6) and 100 hurdles (20.7) against Cape Cod Tech.

Farrah Cookson, Wareham

Against Cape Cod Tech, Cookson won the triple jump (28-8), long jump (14- 01.50), 100 (14.0) and 200 (28.2).

Corinne Keenan, Apponequet

Keenan averaged 7 saves in back-to-back games.

Cece Levrault, Apponequet

In two games, Levrault had a combined 14 goals, including 8 against Fairhaven.

Kerrin Araujo, Bishop Stang

In the loss to Fairhaven, Araujo had 3 goals and 5 draw controls.

Lily Gangi, Dartmouth

In three games, Gagni had a combined 5 goals and 4 assists.

Avery Smith, Dartmouth

Smith had 4 combined goals and 12 draw controls in three games.

Emerson White, Dartmouth

In the win over Bridgewater-Raynham, White had 4 goals and 1 assist. He also scored against New Bedford.

Briarose Aspden, Fairhaven

Aspden had a combined 12 goals and 1 assist in three games.

Lauren Souza, Fairhaven

In three games, Souza had a combined 12 goals and 3 assists.

Sydnie Vassal, GNB Voc-Tech

Vassal had a team high 3 goals against Bourne.

Olivia Medeiros, New Bedford

In the win over Bourne, Medeiros had 7 goals to capture the 100th of his career. He also scored 3 times against Dartmouth.

Peighton Sousa, New Bedford

Sousa had 2 goals and 2 assists against Bourne.

Maddie Caulkins, Old Colony

Caulkins had 7 goals in the win over Cape Cod Tech to record his 100th career goal. He also hit 5 times for Bristol-Aggie.

Taylor Cook, Old Rochester

In two games, Cook had a combined 7 goals, 4 assists and 11 pull controls.

Liz Kilpatrick, Old Rochester

Kilpatrick had a combined 3 goals, 5 assists and 11 pull controls in two wins over Dartmouth and Somerset Berkley.
