Balatro is back with yet another update full of crossovers. Starting today, you can prepare for a new run with inspired decks Cyberpunk 2077, The arrest of Isaac, Split Spire again Stardew Valley thank you to Friends of Jimbo 2 review. Like the beginning extending from August, this round is also free with the main game and is available on all platforms: PlayStation, mobile, Steam, Switch, and Xbox.
Additionally, the game has deep crossover ties with indie RPGs Dave the Diver that will allow you to play Balatro if you are in Sea People Village. It’s called ‘Jimbo’s Game’ instead, but rest assured, it’s still just as addictive in this setting.
The roguelike has won many fans (including several Engadget workers) with its combination of poker gambling and deck building. A tweet announcing today’s news Balatro decks indicate that more collaborations may be in the works, so there may be another batch dropping in the coming months. These new crossover decks should help ease the wait for the big gameplay update that developer LocalThunk has promised is coming (and possibly make the game less boring).
