Dasara rallies in Maharashtra saw a face-to-face between Shiv Sena’s UBT leader Uddhav Thackeray and Shiv Sena leader (Eknath Shinde group) and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Mr. Thackeray also urged RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat to ask the centenary of the organization if he agreed with the BJP’s approach to eliminate his Shiv Sena. He said the BJP is doing ‘jihad for power’, and wants to retain power at any cost. He promised to build Chhatrapati Shivaji temples in every district of the State if voted to power, and criticized the BJP for its Hindutva, which was said to keep one party at war with another. Referring to Badlapur who is accused of raping Akshay Shinde by his last name only, Mr. Thackeray praised the way he was shot, but asked the government to clarify if it was done to protect those in power.
This Dasara was also the first time that Aaditya Thackeray gave a speech at Shivaji Park during a rally.
Criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Mr. Thackeray said: “This election is a battle to define the identity of Maharashtra. I will not let them loot Maharashtra till I live. This is the Maharashtra of Shahu-Phule-Ambedkar. I will not allow it to be Modi, Shah, Adani’s Maharashtra. “

Uddhav Thackeray attacked industrialist Gautam Adani and said that the Maharashtra government had given many free parcels to the Adanis. Eknath Shinde criticizes Uddhav for Hindutva
Targeting Uddhav Thackeray on the core ideas of Hindutva, Eknath Shinde said: “Some people have started to disagree with the word ‘Hindu’ now. We don’t feel ashamed to say this word. But the useless people born in the Thackeray family, betrayed Hindutva. Today, we are free. This is the free Shiv Sena, which takes its original Hindutva ideas. When our government was formed, people said that this government will fall in about two months, a month, a few months. But this Eknath, your Eknath has survived it all and has completed two years in power. Don’t play with me. I am not running away from the battlefield. I will make you run away. I am a staunch Shivsainik.”
He said that Uddhav Thackeray had stopped many development projects as CM, and failed to bring progress in the Government. “Why did we establish this government? Do I need to tell you? We rose up against injustice. If we had not rebelled, the real Shiv Sainik would have been insulted, humiliated. Maharashtra would have been back in a few years. Today, we are leading in all sectors. We are the first State to give ₹12,000 to each farmer. 10 lakh brothers were given free training. We are the first State to do this. My sisters would not get justice. He also criticized Uddhav Thackeray for his opposition to Adani and the Dharavi development project. “He is trying to stop the Dharavi project. He built bungalows, one after the other. But people should immerse themselves in the swamps,” he said.

Comparing the Union government to Mohammad Shah Abdali, Uddhav Thackeray said that Modi and Shah were trying to destroy him.
