He returns for the last time. Actors Vijay’s the last film, before he started his active political journey, he started a film, titled Thalapathy 69for the traditional muhurat puja on Friday. The grand event also saw other actors and crew present, including Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde.
Backed by KVN Productions and directed by H Vinoth, the film will go on floors on Saturday. Earlier the makers had dropped the announcement poster of the film, which called Vijay as “the torch bearer of democracy“.
The official X handle of the production house shared pictures from the puja event, with the happy faces of the cast and crew as they all came together to make Vijay’s last film. The film also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, Prakash Raj, and Mamitha Baiju.

The music of this film will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The yet-to-be-titled film is slated for a pan-Indian release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi in October 2025.
