The Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni held a surprise meeting with President-elect Donald Trump on Saturday at Mar-a-Lago, becoming the latest world leader to meet the incoming president as he takes office at the end of this month.
Meloni stayed for the rest of the night, including a screening of a pro-Trump documentary John Eastmanone of his closest allies who tried to help him in his bid to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
Meloni, who became prime minister in October 2022, helped found the Brothers of Italy, which is now a party. the majority of the right-wing government in Italy since World War II. Trump praised him on Saturday night, saying he had “taken Europe by storm.”

Meloni met with Trump and one of his closest allies, Elon Musk, last month when they were both in Paris to attend an event. the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral. Meloni and Musk have a deep relationship, with Musk has the title a series of political festivals sponsored by the Italian brothers.
Meloni will meet again with President Biden when he visits Rome next week.
