Trump Media shared the meeting on Election Day

Trump Media & Technology Group Stocks rose Tuesday on Election Day as voters head to the polls to choose a majority shareholder choice between former President Donald Trump or his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris.

The stock, which trades under the ticker DJT, is popular among retail traders and is seen as a speculative bet on Trump’s chances of winning a second term in the White House.

Shares of Trump Media jumped more than 14% in the Election Day rally, but have been volatile for weeks. The stock was up $40 per share in its session as of Tuesday afternoon, but has fallen 20% over the past five days.

Last week, DJT had its worst day, dropping 22% on Wednesday and shedding more than $1 billion on Trump’s stock. The decline continued the next day, and the shares of Social Reality the parent company was suspended twice this morning due to volatility.

Nevertheless, Trump Media’s shares rose more than 100% in the past month, causing the former president’s net worth to nearly double to $8 billion at one point, according to Forbeswhich tracks the wealth of the world’s richest people.

In the second quarter, Trump Media reported a loss of $16.4 million and an income of $837,000. The company has a market capitalization of approximately $6 billion.
