Tom Kim apologizes for the second time in less than a month.

Kim, 22, apologized on Monday for damaging his clubhouse wardrobe after his loss to Byeong Hun An at the DP World Tour’s Genesis Championship on Sunday in South Korea.

Last month at the President’s Cup in Montreal, Kim apologized to American captain Jim Furyk and Xander Schauffele after Kim told reporters that unknown members of the American team were “insulting us” during their four-round match where he joined teammate Si Woo Kim against Schauffele. and Patrick Cantlay.

Saying that he wanted information about the incident to come directly from him, Kim wrote on Instagram that he has resolved the issue with the KPGA and DP World Tour, apologized to both and said he would pay damages. Kim said that after these actions, “the matter is considered closed.”

Kim lost the playoff when on the 5th 18th he hit his third shot on the green and made bogey. Follow that up by making another birdie to win.

“After the loss I was devastated, yes, of course,” Kim said in a statement on Instagram. “[B]I can assure you with the pure truth that I had no intention of damaging any part of the locker, not even a little bit.”

Ending his speech by acknowledging those who have reached out to support him, he concluded by saying, “To them and anyone else I may have disappointed, I apologize from the bottom of my heart.”
