Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan will start 11 days Prayaschittha Deeksha at Sri Dasavatara Venkateswara Swamy temple in Nambur (near Acharya Nagarjuna University on NH – 16) on September 22 seeking atonement for the alleged sin of mixing animal fat in Tirumala Prasadam.
He said in the message ‘X’ Prasadam who is respected by Hindus around the world had been despised during the rule of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and that it disturbed him a lot and he asked for forgiveness.
Mr. Kalyan said that he feels guilty since this issue came up and that like him, not everyone believes Sanatana Dharma we must pray to God for forgiveness.
“I will have darshan at Tirumala after Deeksha and I ask for the strength to cleanse myself of the sins committed during the YSRCP regime”, he remarked, asserting that it was time to protect. Dharma.
