Suman Tiwari, a PhD Scholar from TIFR (Tata Institute of Fundamental Research), Mumbai, emerged as the finalist of the 12th Euraxess Science Slam India, a science discussion competition hosted by the German cultural center Goethe-Zentrum here on Thursday. .
The winner receives a round-trip ticket to Europe and the opportunity to network with research peers at one of Europe’s top institutions.
Giggin T, Assistant Professor, Kerala Agricultural University, Shabana KM, PhD Scholar, IIT Palakkad, and Sreshtha Ganguly, PhD Scholar, IIT Kharagpur, were the other runners-up for the title.
Euraxess is a European Union program that provides information and support services for researchers, entrepreneurs, universities, and businesses.
The event gave the audience the opportunity to know about study and research options in Europe, EU programs to promote research activities, and scientific communication.
The participants interacted with members of the Euraxess India team, the Goethe-Zentrum team, the German Embassy, ​​the EU Delegation to India, representatives of EU Member States, representatives of the academic and non-academic sectors, and members of the Science Slam Jury as well as others event partners.
Euraxess Science Slam India 2024 was organized in collaboration with CNRS India, Delegation of the European Union to India, Embassy of the Czech Republic, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Embassy of Italy, New Delhi, Embassy of Slovenia in New Delhi , Embassy of Sweden, New Delhi, Goethe-Zentrum Trivandrum, The Netherlands Innovation Network.
