Kerala Police confirmed the death of three Kottayam residents in a road accident in Tamil Nadu’s Theni district early Saturday (December 28, 2024).
They identified the deceased as Jayanth, 24; Job, 34; and Sony, 26. All three were residents of Govindapuram colony in Kuravalangadu police station limits.
The youth was on a journey to Velankanni.
Police said the accident occurred when the car they were traveling in collided with a mini-bus at Periyamkulam in Devadanapatti police station at around 03:00. .
The police said that the taxi involved in the accident turned into a turtle, injuring at least 18 passengers on its way to Ercaud.
The Kerala police have contacted their counterparts in Tamil Nadu for more information.
