In an undetected crime that left the police scrambling for evidence, a group of robbers punched a hole in the wall of the Union Bank of India (UBI) branch in Surat, smashed six lockers, and took money, jewelry and other valuables. they cost millions of dollars.
Bank staff found the thief at Kim Crossroads on Tuesday morning. This incident is reported to have happened between midnight on Monday and Tuesday.

According to the police, the thieves made a two-meter hole in the wall to enter the lock. They tampered with the bank’s alarm and cut off communications to disable surveillance cameras to reduce the chances of being caught.
It is reported that this group of thieves broke into six of the 70 lockers and took the property, most of which was money and jewelry, and then fled.
The police are investigating the matter and have captured CCTV footage from the nearby area.
“There was no security guard in the area. We are looking at the CCTV installed near the bank. Investigation is on,” said Surat District Police Chief Hitesh Joysar.
