Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Levitt with her husband, Connor Levittthey are doing better than ever following his struggles with sex addiction.

“Love that man,” Whitney, 31, said on the Wednesday, Sept. 25, episode of “The Squeeze” podcast. “There were a lot of strong moments between me and Connor that weren’t there [included] in season, which is fine — I’m not an editor. There was this time when we were filming the pilot and the producer asked us about it [why] we left for Hawaii and it wasn’t our conversation that brought this to the show. It wasn’t a particular conversation that Connor and I had had.”

He added, “Connor just looked at me and shared everything. It was vulnerable and sensitive, and incredibly powerful. I am proud of him for that because that should have been a decision that came from him and not from me.”

In the first episode of I Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Whitney and Connor moved back to Utah with their two children. As they revealed in the Hulu series, they left town after Connor admitted to launching a secret Tinder account to request NSFW photos.

“He was addicted to porn for a long time and it was something, obviously, that was hard to overcome,” Whitney said Wednesday. “I didn’t even know what was going on.”

He continued, “When you go through something tough and come out the other side, man, your relationship is stronger than ever.” At the time, it was sad, but holy hell, I’m thankful for where we are now.”

According to Whitney, it took her and Connor “a lot of time and a lot of work” to mend their relationship. Whitney first heard about her husband’s struggle “two and a half years ago,” she told podcast hosts Taylor and Tay Lautner, six months before the pilot was filmed.

“It takes time and it takes a lot of work. I remember I was in therapy and my therapist asked me, ‘Before we get into this, do you have to decide if this is something you want to fix or something you don’t want to fix?’” Whitney recalled. “I never took a step back and thought about that because in the Mormon culture, it’s like, ‘No divorce.’

Whitney initially didn’t even consider divorce an option because of LDS expectations until a TV star therapist made her face what she really wanted.

“I should have stayed down [and think] ‘Did I want to rebuild this trust?’ That doesn’t mean things haven’t started for me yet,” he said. “If it happens, then I’ll fix it and keep moving forward.”

Whitney, who is currently pregnant with her third child with Connor, has left the #MomTok group. Talking to Us Weekly for the latest cover story, Whitney said We, “I don’t know. We’ll see,” about a possible return.
