Telangana Police bust drug supply ring, seize drugs worth Rs 18 lakh from Chandanagar – Telangana News

In an anti-narcotics drive, the Telangana Police in Chandanagar, working closely with the State Narcotic Bureau, busted a huge stash of drugs, seized drugs worth ₹18 lakhs. The raid, which took place at a residence in Gulmohar Park, led to the arrest of Krishna Ram Choudhary, a 28-year-old from Rajasthan who is accused of supplying drugs from Rajasthan to Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh.

The initial investigation revealed an extensive network, involving eight people in total. While Choudhary and two others, Chail Singh and Sumar Singh, were in custody, five others were absconding. Chail Singh and Sumar Singh were arrested by Choutuppal police, and an FIR was lodged against the accused, including Samir Khan, Ladhuram, Vikram Singh, Ram Singh, and Pukraj Singh.

The operation was made possible thanks to a tip from a local resident whose knowledge proved vital in planning a successful raid of 150 g of drugs. Chandanagar Police Inspector Palavelli also received praise for his prompt action and coordination with the Narcotic Bureau, showing a dedicated effort to combat drug trafficking in the district.

Earlier in the day, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials at the Hyderabad International Airport arrested two Indian nationals arriving from Bangkok. A detailed examination of their checked baggage revealed 13 transparent vacuum packets hidden inside Kellogg’s chocolate boxes.

Inside these packages, officers found a green, sticky substance that tested positive for marijuana using a field test kit.
