Opposition parties, including the Congress and the Shiv Sena (UBT), lashed out at the Centre, saying The Tata-Airbus C295 facility was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Vadodara today was supposed to be stopped at Nagpur.
The opposition also alleged that the center’s location was shifted to Gujarat under the Prime Minister and both the Center and Mahayuti conspired to ensure “total surrender” of Maharashtra’s interests.
Congress leader and party general secretary in charge of communications, Jairam Ramesh, said the people of Maharashtra will give a befitting reply to Prime Minister Modi and his colleagues for betraying the state.
Ramesh also said that one can only imagine the tricks that went on after confirming that Maharashtra lost this important investment.
“This is not an exception. Under the leadership and instructions of an unnatural Prime Minister, the Union Government and the Mahayuti government have conspired to ensure total surrender of Maharashtra’s interests in getting new projects or seeking central support,” said the Congress leader.
Even Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi expressed similar sentiments and said that all the projects coming to Maharashtra are snatched from the Centre.
“The inauguration (of the TATA Aircraft Complex for the production of C295 planes) by the Prime Minister in Vadodara is a living example of how Maharashtra has been mistreated. All the projects that came to Maharashtra were taken away from them,” Chaturvedi said while speaking. to news agency ANI.
“There are two chief ministers working for Gujarat. This project which would have benefited millions of our youth and created employment opportunities was removed from Maharashtra. The Mahayuti government only believes in staying in power, not helping the public,” he added. .

BJP ON OPPOSITION CLAIMS
Responding to the Congress’ allegations, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya said Jairam Ramesh’s entire statement was “pure rubbish” and gave arguments to the claims.
Responding to allegations of the relocation of the Tata-Airbus project, Malviya emphasized that the Maharashtra government, under the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition, delayed signing agreements that could have helped the project’s establishment in Gujarat.
“If the government of Maharashtra ie, Maha Vinash Aghadi – MVA – is so worried about losing this opportunity, why has it delayed the signing of MoUs or agreements to carry out the establishment?” Malvia asked.
The BJP leader also referred to a white paper by Maharashtra’s Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), which revealed that no formal memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the then MVA government to acquire land for the Tata-Airbus project.
