A 19-year-old student was injured after jumping from the fourth floor of a hostel of a private engineering college in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore state, believing he was superpowered.
Prabhu, a third-year student studying Artificial Intelligence at Karpagam Engineering College, lived in the college hostel and told his friends that he was super strong and nothing could harm him.
CCTV footage showed Prabhu, wearing a blue shirt, walking out of the room towards the corridor of the hostel. He then jumps from the fourth floor of the building, leaving the two boys standing in the hallway in shock. The student was seriously injured in the arm, leg and head.
Prabhu was taken to a private hospital where he was treated.
Chettipalaiyam police have registered a case and started investigation.
