Taco Bell is getting nostalgic with a limited-time ‘Decades Menu’

Taco Bell is rolling out a limited-time “Menu of the Decades” across the US later in the month.

The menu will give customers a chance to step back into the first five decades of Mexican-inspired fast food history with its four sweet items and one sweet drink, Taco Bell said Thursday.

According to Yum! A corporate-owned brand, the “Menu of the Decades” will feature the Tostada, Green Sauce Burrito, Meximelt, Gordita Supreme and Caramel Apple Empanada, all of which have found great popularity on the menu over the past decades.

The savory items will appear on the menu for a limited time at the end of the month, and the Caramel Apple Empanada is expected to make it three weeks later, on November 21, Taco Bell said.

Each of the five “Decades Menu” items will be priced under $3.

Taco Bell said the limited-time “nostalgic menu” is intended to “bring together generations of fans who remember these menu items in a new era for fans who haven’t heard of them.”

The brand previously revealed in mid-August that a nationwide rollout of Tostada, Green Sauce Burrito, Meximelt, Gordita Supreme and Caramel Apple Empanada is possible. At the time, the menu was being market tested in three Southern California cities: Irvine, Brea and Fullerton.

When the “Decades Menu” rolls out nationwide, participating U.S. restaurants will sell its items “while supplies last,” Taco Bell said. The brand has more than 7,400 locations across America.

TACO BELL WILL DISCOUNT OTHER FOOD OPTIONS

Taco Bell said customers will also see the Gordita Supreme in its $7 “Luxe Cravings Box” version “for a limited time.” Other items in the box will include a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Double Stacked Taco, chips and nacho cheese sauce and a mid-range drink, according to the announcement.
