When Star Wars fans first got a taste of Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, he was nothing more than a hologram, yet with a few lines of dialogue, it became clear that he wasn’t a human being. With his departure continued The Mandalorianthis lean, power-hungry criminal proved time and time again that he would stop at nothing to get what he wanted, even when paying his men.
Although Giancarlo Esposito played Moff Gideon for three seasons, the actor said that due to the fast pace of the show and the different storylines, his experience as an actor was “eased” very quickly. However by the end of Season Three, he felt like he was too much into the role in an attempt to “control the chaos” and do a compelling job.
