Karnataka Finance Minister Krishna Byre Gowda on Tuesday said the National Disaster Response Force and State Disaster Response Force personnel have been deployed in the city following the forecast of heavy rain.
He said the Fire and Emergency Services were also put on standby to respond quickly.
“I have advised the BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) to remain vigilant. We have deployed around 60 NDRF/SDRF personnel in Bengaluru and are redeploying 40 more to meet any need. We have put up Fire and Emergency Services stand to respond quickly,” the Minister said in an online post.
