Ava Protocol, an event-driven EigenLayer Active Validated Service (AVS), has joined Sony Block Solutions Labs to support developers and creators on the Ethereum Layer-2 (L2) public blockchain, seeking to simplify user experience and unlock opportunities by delivering default Soneium.
Automation Comes to Sony’s Ethereum L2 Blockchain
Ava Protocol and Soneium have announced their collaboration to bring automation to the new Sony Ethereum L2 blockchain. The partnership aims to “simplify the blockchain” for Soneium developers and non-technical users by executing tasks and smart contracts based on predefined conditions.
EigenLayer AVS provides a Web3 infrastructure to support cross-chain automation, enables scalable automated transactions and allows developers to rapidly deploy dApps.
Deployed as part of the Soneium Spark incubation program, the Ava Protocol infrastructure is set to provide participants with an efficient and trustless solution to automate their projects, providing access to privacy, usability, and low operational costs.
The collaboration will allow creators to tokenize Universal Assets (RWA) and open up partial ownership and new distribution methods, allowing creators and developers of the Sony Ethereum L2 blockchain to monetize their work using purpose-based, code-free automation.
As the first automation provider in Soneium, the Ava protocol seeks to unlock opportunities for monetization of art, intellectual property, and physical assets. Additionally, it will support recurring payments, stop-loss orders, yield harvesting, and dynamic NFT updates and creation.
The Web3 Industry is in ‘Major Transformation’
Ava Protocol’s Head of Marketing, Sam Shev, highlighted the partnership’s aim to support the best capabilities of creators by trying to reduce barriers to Web3:
Soneium promotes an open internet that transcends borders and unites creators from all walks of life. Ava Protocol’s powerful tools will streamline processes and reduce barriers to entry, allowing creators to focus on what they do best – creating. We envision Soneium becoming a hub for creativity, collaboration, and innovation, enabling people and communities to transform the world through human ingenuity.
Meanwhile, Chris Li, the founder of Ava Protocol, emphasized the project’s goal of facilitating access to the Web3 space with simple tools and solutions:
Ava Protocol is incredibly excited to join forces with Soneium as the Web3 space works to become more accessible. Our technology gives creators and developers the tools they need to be truly empowered when it comes to their products. Ava Protocol’s automation reduces complexity, enabling them to innovate freely. With this partnership, we are taking an important step towards our vision of being the leading solution for smart contract automation at Soneium.
As reported by Bitcoinist, the Sony Ethereum L2 public blockchain is part of the company’s “strategic expansion” into the blockchain ecosystem, which aims to bring Web3 technology to mainstream adoption through its distribution network in various industries.
Designed to be a multi-purpose blockchain, Soneium seeks to integrate Web3 into everyday applications and serve multiple needs across industries and user bases around the world. It also aims to create a “robust, developer-friendly environment” that supports innovation, communities, creators, and developers.
Sota Watanabe, Director of Sony Block Solutions Labs, noted the “big change” of the Web3 industry, explaining that its defining moment will be “whether we, as companies involved in Web3, can really provide solutions that are used by billions of people as a matter of course.” in their daily lives and make Web3 a priority for the next few years. “
