This summer took me away. Among the landscape, caring for the Father, and the meeting between Oregon and New England, I felt dried. It was like staying in two countries at the same time, never fully installed. Since the time changes, I do not just miss the cool air and long shadows – I see unity in the morning, golden light spilled my roads in Portland, and how the sun was delayed in my eyes. I wish to reset September: to return to a covenant, culture, and gratitude that sounds like at home.
