HOW IS SHILLONG LOTTERY PLAYED?
- A Teer game consists of two rounds, each lasting two minutes.
- In the first round, skilled archers shoot 30 arrows, and in the second round, they shoot 20 arrows.
- Players bet on the number of arrows that will hit the target, choosing a number between 0 and 99.
- Correct predictions in both rounds win prizes.
- Lottery tickets, sold exclusively by authorized dealers, are priced between Rs 1 and Rs 50.
In Shillong Teer lottery, the winning amount is determined by both the size of the bet and the accuracy of the player’s prediction. For example, a successful bet of Rs 1 in the first round would yield Rs 80, while a correct bet of Rs 1 in the second round would yield Rs 60.
If the player correctly predicts both the rounds with a bet of Rs 1, he can win up to Rs 4,000. Besides Shillong Teer, other Teer lotteries like Khanapara, Jowai and Ladrymbai Teers are also held across Meghalaya.
