A senior official in Pokrovsk, a city in eastern Ukraine considered a key target for Russia’s military advance westward, has asked residents to evacuate, warning that essential services will no longer be provided, according to a report by RBK Ukraine.
Serhiy Dobrak, head of military administration in Pokrovsk, emphasized the urgency of the situation. “It is already clear that there will be no heating in the city,” he told RBK.
Dobrak advised residents to leave immediately if they see anti-tank defenses, known as dragon’s teeth, installed nearby. “Don’t worry about it, pack up and go. It will be dangerous,” he warned.
