Samosas and cakes meant for Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu were served to his security personnel instead, a snowstorm that became controversial and led to a CID investigation which it called an “anti-government act”.

Those involved are acting according to their plans, said a senior officer in the CID in his paper about the incident on 21 October when the Minister visited the CID headquarters.

Attacking the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, the opposition BJP said that the Sukhu dispensation is not interested in the development of the state but the only thing it seems to be is the “Samosa of the Chief Minister”.

The brouhaha started when three boxes of refreshments were brought to Hotel Radisson Blue in Lakkar Bazaar to be given to the Chief Minister who had gone to the CID headquarters to attend the function. However, the edibles were given to the CM’s security personnel, according to the investigation report by the deputy SP.

The report revealed that an IG-rank official had asked a sub-inspector (SI) of police to get food from a hotel to visit the CM. The SI in turn directed the assistant SI (ASI) and the constable to bring the drinks.

The ASI and the head constable fetched the drinks from the hotel in three sealed boxes and informed the SI.

The police in their statement said that when they asked the employees of the Department of Tourism on duty whether the delicacies in the three boxes will be given to the Prime Minister, they said that they were not included in the list.

The investigation report said that only the SI, who represented the ASI and the officer in charge of getting snacks from the hotel, knew that the three boxes belonged to Mr. It’s dry.

The female inspector who was given the food did not ask the senior officer and sent the drink to the machine transport (MT) section that deals with drinks.

Three boxes of drinks are exchanged in several hands in this process.

Action against the government?

Interestingly, a senior official in the CID department wrote to note that all the people named in the investigation report acted in an anti-CID and anti-government manner because things could not be provided to VVIPs.

They acted according to their agenda, the note added.

The controversy gave the BJP an opportunity to criticize the Sukhu government.

“The state government is not interested in the development of the country and its only concern seems to be ‘Chief Minister’s Samosa’,” BJP spokesperson Randhir Sharma said in a statement issued here on Thursday.

He said the latest incident related to the samosas brought to Mr. In the investigation, this mistake was considered an act “against the government” which is a big word, he said.

“This incident has become a topic of discussion in the political circles of Himachal Pradesh. In fact, the government machinery is embarrassed by the problems of such coordination in the program related to VVIP as the chief minister,” said Mr. Sharma.
