Saif Ali Khan’s hitman, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, had visited the actor’s house earlier and was working in a house repair company, according to sources. Sources revealed that Shehzad used to work in a housekeeping company and had previously visited Saif Ali Khan’s house for cleaning on Saif’s show, Hari. The accused, who also revealed the names Vijay Das, Bijoy Das, Mohammad Illyas, and BJ, was arrested on Sunday morning by the police after a thorough investigation.
On January 16, Vijay Das saw that the security guard was asleep and went up to the 11th floor. When he reached the 11th floor, he reached the manhole and entered Saif’s apartment. The path brought him closer to the children’s room, and he hid in the bathroom.
Earlier, Vijay Das lived in Worli. On the day of the incident, he boarded a train to Thane. In Thane, a person on a bicycle came to pick him up. With the help of the bike number, the police traced him to Ghodbunder yesterday (January 18), where he was arrested.
Mumbai Police DCP Dikshit Gedam, in a press conference, said that a case has been registered against the suspect and he has been arrested.
“Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad entered Saif’s house with the intention of making a show. He will appear in court. We have not found any evidence that he has been to Saif’s residence before. He has no previous criminal record,” said Gedam.
He added, “We suspect that he is from Bangladesh, so the sections of the FIR have been changed. There is prima facie evidence to suggest that the accused is a Bangladeshi. He does not have valid Indian documents. He had taken the name Vijay Das. “
The police officer also said that the accused came to Mumbai 5-6 months ago and was working for a house keeping company.
